Contract conditions:

To avoid disappointment you may wish to check the Gig Guide section of this site for available dates. All gig bookings are made in accordance with my Contract Conditions. Please see below.

A deposit is payable upon the signing of this contract. The booking is only confirmed and secured once the deposit has been paid and the contract signed, until such time the artist is free to accept other bookings. Once the deposit is paid and contract signed, the artist shall refuse bookings coinciding with this date. The deposit is non-refundable. The balance of the fee is due on the performance day prior to the performer commencing. This payment is only accepted in cash or as a bank cheque (personal cheques are not accepted).

  1. The engagement fee is fixed and shall not be subject to any variation. When there is a change in the client’s requirements, a revised fee may be negotiated.
  2. If the artist is asked to extend the performance on the night, the fee for each additional 40-minute bracket is as follows:Commencing before midnight $110.00 (solo) $220.00 (for duo performance). Both fees include gst.
  3. The artist may perform “MC” duties at an additional fee of $75.00
  4. The artist shall supply CD music between performance sets. The client is encouraged to supply any music of their choice.
  5. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure electricity supply is within 3 metres of the setup point and that this supply is maintained. The artist shall be paid in full despite any failure in the electricity supply.
  6. Any form of disruption to the function (out of control of the artist) will not affect the artist’s payment.
  7. The client is held responsible for:Any personal injury caused by uncontrolled guests/patrons or;
  8. Any person causing theft or damage to the artist’s equipment.
  9. Intentional or accidental, all repair, replacement and legal costs will be recovered.
  10. The artist will not be held responsible for non-arrival if the deposit has not been paid, or if the client fails to provide clear and adequate venue address details.
  11. In the event of illness, accident, or any unforeseen circumstances to the artist, the deposit shall be refunded to the client within seven working days in exchange of the receipt of payment.
  12. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure a safe working environment for the artist. Under no circumstances will the artist perform in an area where rain or water may come in contact with the equipment. This may not only result in damage to the equipment but also electrocution. Any outdoor performances must strictly adhere to this condition.
  13. Due to the Noise Pollution Act, the client must seek permission from local Police/Council prior to a private party performance. The artist will be paid in full regardless of Police intervention.
